After purchasing the E3D V6 hotend, there is a problem installing on the SAPPHIRE PRO printer.Shareholders are not allowed to do this.Let’s model.
In a previous story, I told how I designed the junction point of the VORON 2.4 direct extruder to the SAPPHIRE PRO printer and committed to designing the cartridges for the E3D V6 hot end.So, the promise has been fulfilled. This story is about the cartridge modeled for the E3D V6 hot end.
First, I add the assembly model for the SAPPHIRE PRO printer X-axis assembly:
The next step is to place a model of the E3D V6 hot end and center it on the axis of the hole for the direct extruder filament
In the center of the heatsink I have a cooler 3010 blowing the heatsink
Then I went on to design the cartridge, which obviously had to be removable.
Cartridges must have maximum rigidity and are attached to standard holes by three DIN912 M4x6 screws on the back and two DIN912 M3x6 screws on the front.
BLTouch’s guide is not up front.Since the front and rear of the cartridge are symmetrical, it is sufficient to model only half of the cartridge and mirror the rest.
As well as necessary fastener screws and fused threaded bushings
I design the airflow channel for the part. Here’s a little trick. The channel itself and a separate cavity were designed, then the cavity was subtracted from the channel body.
Time to place the BLTouch.I have it 2mm higher relative to the nozzle.
The BLTouch bracket is fixed with DIN912 M3x6 screws, allowing you to adjust the height of the sensor within a certain range.
Final Stage – I model the trim cover and arrange the fasteners
The story of assembling and installing ink cartridges on SAPPHIRE PRO printers will continue as the details of the ink cartridges are printed.Subscribe to follow the story as it develops!
Dear friend, I recommend you to leave your suggestions for improving the cartridge in the comments. After production and testing, the self-produced optimization model will be published on this site.
